A 34-year-old man was fatally stabbed January 9th in the Bronx following an apparent dispute with his neighbor, authorities said.
The victim, identified as Aaron Carpenter, was attacked around 6:35 p.m. on the sidewalk outside the neighboring apartment buildings where both men lived, near Bryant Avenue and East 172nd Street.
Police located Carpenter suffering from multiple stab wounds. Emergency medical personnel rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The suspect, Antonio J. Jackson, 31, was taken into custody and charged with murder. Prosecutors say he is also facing additional charges, including manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the relationship between the two men or what led to the dispute.
