NYPD  116-19 Mexico Street in the St. Albans neighbourhood on February 21st at approximately 4:00pm.

Police arrived to find 23-year-old Daniel Ortiz, inside a basement apartment, face up on the floor, suffering from gunshot wounds to the shoulder, torso and thigh.

Ortiz was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he died of his injuries. No arrests have been made at this time.
