NYPD responded to a report of an assault at Irwin Avenue near West 234th Street in Kingsbridge on May 2nd at around 6:00pm.

Police arrived to find 43-year-old Daniel Valdez suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. Police said a physical altercation happened inside the home, and the suspect shot the man in the bathroom. Valdez was rushed to Harlem Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

No arrests have been made at this time.
