Police said Davantay Butts, 26, and a woman also 26, were walking near the corner of E. 103rd St. and Third Ave on February 1st at approximately 11:15am when a lone gunman ran up to the pair and began shooting.

Butts was shot multiple times in the chest, and the woman was grazed by a bullet on the arm. Butts was rushed to Metropolitan Hospital where he died of his injuries. According to reports, Butts is a member of the Broad Day Shooters gang, was previously shot on July 19

The suspect is described as wearing a green jacket, tan pants and brown boots, fled on foot.
