A man was fatally stabbed outside a Melrose pizzeria on the afternoon of Jan. 5, according to police. The attack happened just before 2 p.m. outside Daisy’s Pizza on Third Avenue. Officers responding to a 911 call found 53-year-old George Ennin suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was transported to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the motive for the attack is still unknown. No arrests have been made, and detectives are searching for a person of interest who was last seen fleeing west on East 157th Street. Investigators describe the individual as wearing dark clothing and a dark helmet. The case remains under active investigation.
