The 2025 NYC Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD responded to a shooting at 1744 Watson Ave on December 7th at approximately 9:05pm.

On arrival police located 38-year-old Gregory Stewart, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He was rushed to NYC Health+Hospitals/Jacobi, where he died of his injuries.

Sean Grant, 28, was taken into custody a few blocks away from the shooting and is facing murder, manslaughter and weapons charges. According to police, Grant was a resident of the building where the shooting took place, while Stewart was based in Wakefield. Investigators think the clash may be linked to an earlier shooting from earlier this month, but they’re still working to pin down the motive behind the violence.
