NYPD said 25-year-old innocent bystander Jelani Green was shot on Nelson Avenue near West 174th Street at approximately 8:45 p.m. June 19th.

She was taken to hospital where she died of her injuries on September 6th.

Police believe she was struck with a stray bullet and was not believed to be the intended target.
