NYPD were called to a car accident where an Acura sedan that had mounted the divider of the Bronx River Parkway by E. 177th St on January 25th at approximately 9:00pm.

Police arrived to find Jahwan Joseph, 25, inside the vehicle, suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital where he died of his injuries. Police say Jahwan has no prior criminal record.

Investigators are determining whether or not the homicide was a road rage incident or the possibility that it may have been a stray bullet and not a targeted attack.
No arrests have been made at this time.
