NYPD were called to the report of a stabbing at Raed Food Corp in the area of Van Buren Ave. and Marcus Garvey Blvd on May 11th at around 11:00am.

According to reports Cynthia McLeod, 55, was inside the store when her ex-boyfriend James Brown, 62, followed her in and claimed she owed him money. He then stabbed McLeof several times in the back and neck. According to NY Daily News, Brown showed no remorse when he was taken into custody. He allegedly said “She owed me money. So, I am facing a murder charge? That what happens when you don’t pay money back. She faced her own demise.”

Brown has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon and ordered held without bail.
