NYPD were called to a home at 570 Wyona Street on the report of a person needing assistace on January 29th at 2:08pm.

Police located 61-year-old Tracey Sydnor inside the home suffering from multiple stab wounds throughout her body. The victim was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries.

According to reports Tracey Sydnor was the executive pastor of Upper Room Baptist Church in Bedford-Stuyvesan.

Police recovered the alleged murder weapon from the scene. The victim’s 40-year-old son, Kenji Francis, was arrested at the scene and and charged with murder, as well as an unlawful activity-dangerous weapon
