Man Fatally Shot in the Head Outside Bronx Building; Suspect at Large

Around 9:30 p.m. on June 12, officers from the 42nd Precinct responded to a 911 call about a shooting outside 621 East 169th Street. When they arrived, they discovered a man who was unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Paramedics rushed the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His name has not yet been released, as authorities are waiting to notify his family.

Investigators believe the shooting followed some sort of altercation, though the exact motive is still unknown. The suspected shooter fled the scene, and no arrests have been made so far. The investigation is still active.
