Police said Gunfire erupted around 2:28 a.m. on August 10th in Cypress Hills, triggering the NYPD’s ShotSpotter system. Officers from the 75th Precinct responded to 24 Pine Street, where they found the victim lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his left shoulder.

Emergency responders rushed the man to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. Despite efforts to save him, he later died from his injuries.
