Marcus Bethea dies in hospital following a shooting at a Queens Subway Station

NYPD were called to the Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer station on Monday April 25th at approximately 4:30pm on the report or a shooting.

On arrival police loctaed 24-year-old Marcus Bethea suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso. Officers commenced first aid measures and called for EMS. The victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital where he was pronounced deceased shortly after 5:00pm.

Police said the victim was in the token booth area when he was approached by the suspect and they began a verbal dispute, that escallated to a physical altercation. The suspect then pulled the firearm and discharged several rounds. The firearm was recovered at the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time, Police are reviewing security footage.
