According to reports Djiguiba Fofana, 30, of California is facing murder charges after shooting and killing Roberto Guerrero, 35, who fled a fender-bender.
It is alleged that Guerrero and Fofana were involved in an accident, before Guerrero fled the scene. Fofana and two others went looking for the victim who they found double parked outside an apartment building on Walton Ave January 9th at approximately 10:50pm.
Djiguiba Fofana and his accomplices pulled up in a Jeep Cherokee and attempted to pull Guerrero out of his vehicle, and shot him in the torso.
Police and paramedics located the victim who was shot in the chest. He was rushed to Lincoln Hospital where he died of his injuries. Police revealed that Guerrero was known to police and was on parole for a weapons offense.
The Jeep was located by police shortly after the homicide, however, no arrests were made. Police recovered a handgun from the vehicle, it is unknown if the weapon located was used in the crime.
Fofana, of California has been charged with murder. The other two occupants of the Jeep, Ibrahima Fofana, 22, of Philadelphia, and LaToya Douglas, 30, also of California, are charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
