NYPD were called to the report of an unconscious and unresponsive man on a stairway near 120th Street in Marcus Garvey Park in Manhattan around 2:15 a.m on December 23rd.
On arrival police and paramedics located Bruce Maurice Henry, 60, stabbed multiple times in the back, torso, buttocks, eye and palms. Henry was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Update December 26th
Police obtained video showing Roland Codrington and a woman entering the victim’s vehicle, a black Mercedes-Benz parked near Marcus Garvey Park, on Dec. 24. Roland Codrington, 35, was arrested and faces two counts each of murder and attempted murder, as well as additional charges of second-degree assault and criminal mischief.
Police said Codrington is also responsible for the homicide of a man in the East Village, as well as a bar assault.
