Update: Suspect Pedro Cintron who was wanted for the homicide of an NYPD administrative worker, and injuring a second woman, was found dead in Brooklyn

NYPD responded to a 911 call at 66-17 Fresh Pond Road at approximately 8:15am on May 9th.

On arrival police located 2 female victims suffering from injuries. A 51-year-old woman was shot in the head, and a neighbor, a 48-year-old woman was shot twice in the torso. Both victims were rushed to hospital where 51-year-old Migdalia Ortega was pronounced deceased at 11:22am.

Police said the shooting began as a domestic dispute between the 51-year-old woman an a man in the third-floor apartment. During the dispute, the 48-year-old neighbor went to check on the third-floor occupant when she fled back to her own unit, the suspect followed her and continued shooting.

The suspect was wearing all black at the time of the attack and fled in a vehicle with tinted windows and no license plate.

Update May 10th
NYPD have announced that the suspect who is wanted for allegedly fatally shooting his girlfriend, and wounding a neighbor is 55-year-old Pedro Cintron.

Update May 12th
NYPD said Pedro Cintron was located on May 11th at 8:00 a.m outside a building, and between two cars on McKibbin Street near Manhattan Avenue. Investigators believe he shot himself in the head. According to reports Cintron was seen pacing back and forth while holding a gun before he put it to his head and fired.
