NYPD responded to a shooting at the Eastchester Gardens Houses on Adee Avenue at around 6:25 p.m. on December 27th.

Officers responding to reports of gunfire found 15-year-old Eric Aitken of Waterbury, Connecticut, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Jacobi Hospital in critical condition and later died.

Police later discovered a second victim, a 14-year-old who had been shot in the arm, outside a building on Laconia Avenue, roughly a quarter-mile from the initial scene. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to identify and locate the shooter.
