NYPD responded to a 911 call regarding an assault at the corner of 183rd Street and University Avenue on December 6th at approximately 5:00am.

On arrival police located 28-year-old Fitzroy Bennett unconscious and unresponsive with a stab wound to the torso. He was rushed to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.
