The NYC 2022 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD responded to the report of a shooting on Walton Avenue near East 183rd Street in Fordham Heights around 11:30 a.m on June 8th.

On arrival police located a 29-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in critical condition where he died of his injuries.

According to reports, the victim was approached by three men who got out of a black Volkswagen and opened fire. No arrests have been made.

Update June 23
NYPD said a 15-year-old teen whose name was not released because of his age, showed up at the 46th Precinct with his mother on June 22nd and surrendered in connection to the fatal shooting of 29-year-old Rafael Jimenez.

Update June 20th
NYPD announced that Jose Chavez, 21, was also arrested and charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of weapon.
