Police were called to the report of a shooting on the front steps of a home in the area of Empire Blvd. near Lamont Court in Crown Heights about 10:40 a.m. on January 31st.

According to reports the adult male victim exited a double-parked BMW SUV with North Carolina license plates, and started climbing the steps to the home, when he was shot in the head. Police said the victim didn’y have any ID on him at the time of his death, and he did not reside at the home where he was killed.

The victim has been identified as Ahmad Perkins, 45.

No arrests have been made at this time.
