NYPD were called to the lobby of an apartment building at East 194th Street and Briggs Avenue on August 11th at approximately 1:00am.

According to reports, teens were playing with a .380 caliber handgun when it accidentally fired, killing 14-year-old Jacob Borbin.

At the time of the shooting, no immediate charges were laid, however, police announced on August 12th that a 14-year-old boy was charged Friday with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
