Tyrone Chambers fatally stabbed in a Bronx apartment

NYPD responded to a 911 call of a possible crime at 1277 Morris Avenue on January 5th at approximately 11:59pm in the Bronx. 

On arrival police located Tyrone Chambers, 49, deceased and Thomas Lenahan, 51 wounded. It has been reported that the pair were involved in a knife fight. Police said charges are pending. 

Lenahan was a recent parolee who was accused of beating someone to death with a bat in 1987. According to nydailynews Lenahan  was paroled on Nov. 21st, he’d been sentenced to 3½ to five years in 2018 for drug dealing and promoting prison contraband.

Chambers was also known to police and was paroled on Dec. 3 in a 2019 drug-dealing case.
