NYPD were called to 956 Sherman Ave on February 28th at 6:40 a.m.
Police said 45-year-old Juan Rivas stabbed Yesenia Hall multiple times in the back and neck. Hall’s 16-year-old son was also wounded during the attack.
Both victims were rushed to Lincoln Hospital. Hall was later pronounced dead, while her son is reported to be in stable condition.
Investigators say Rivas and Hall were in a relationship and shared the apartment where the stabbing occurred. He has been charged with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, criminal possession of a weapon and assault.
The investigation is ongoing.
