Police are investigating the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man outside his home at a NYCHA housing complex in Queens early Sunday morning.

The shooting happened around 12:16 a.m. outside the Woodside Houses after a 911 call reported an assault. Officers found the victim, identified as Jafre Waugh, suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest and back.

He was taken to Elmhurst Hospital but later died from his injuries. Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the killing.
