NYPD were called to 58th Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues in Bay Ridge just after 9 a.m on June 20th.
On arrival police located Maria Santos Flores, who was discovered with fatal injuries shortly. According to reports, neighbors reported hearing screams earlier that morning, prompting concern.
Police spent the day canvassing the area for surveillance footage as they searched for a suspect believed to have fled the scene.
No arrests have been made, and investigators have not released a possible motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
