Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Brooklyn’s Ocean Hill neighborhood during the early morning hours of June 6.
Officers responded to reports of an assault in progress near Somers Street shortly after 12:30 a.m. Upon arrival, they found an adult man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the head.
The victim was transported to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
Investigators are still working to determine a motive for the shooting. According to police sources, the suspect may have fled the scene in a black sedan that was seen speeding away shortly after the gunfire erupted.
The homicide investigation remains ongoing, and no arrests have been announced.
