A 24-year-old man was fatally shot in a downtown Brooklyn park Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
The NYPD said officers found Jayde Browne, 24, unconscious with a gunshot wound to his torso inside McLaughlin Park near Tillary and Jay streets at approximately 2:07 p.m.
Browne was taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors were unable to save him, police said.
Investigators have not yet determined what led to the shooting. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
