NYPD said a Brooklyn woman has been arrested and charged after her boyfriend was fatally stabbed inside her East Flatbush home on September 19th. The woman told authorities she acted in self-defense.

Police said Ayala called 911 to report that a man had stabbed inside the apartment.

Officers arrived and found Pedersin Pelissier, 36, on the floor with multiple stab wounds to his chest, according to sources familiar with the case. Ayala was reportedly pleading with officers and emergency responders to save him.

EMS transported Pelissier to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Jennifer Ayala, 36, was charged early Sunday with manslaughter, two counts of assault and criminal possession of a weapon, police sources said.

The circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain under investigation,
