NYPD responded to a 911 call of an unresponsive person beneath a bridge near the intersection of Hell Gate Circle and East River Lane at approximately 12:30 p.m. on July 13th.
On arrival police found the man with a single gunshot wound to the forehead. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending notification of his family.
No arrests have been made, and detectives continue to investigate the fatal shooting.
