A 35-year-old Bronx woman has died after being found with severe injuries inside her Melrose home earlier this week, according to law enforcement sources.
EMS crews responded to an address on East 158th Street shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 following a 911 call about a woman who needed medical assistance.
When responders arrived, they found Jasmine Chisholm suffering from serious trauma to her head, face and body. She was rushed to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition but later died early Monday morning.
The incident was reported to the NYPD’s 40th Precinct. Chisholm’s remains were taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy is expected to help determine the exact cause of death.
Police have not announced any arrests, and the circumstances surrounding Chisholm’s injuries remain under investigation.
