NYPD responded to a 911 call on April 29th at 11:53 p.m. for an assault call at 557 East 21st.
On arrival police located 73-year-olf Freddy Quevedo suffering from several stab wounds to his back and Paola Jinenez, 29, suffering from a laceration to her right hand. Both Quevedo and Jinenez were rushed to Kings County Hospital Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
According to reports the attack was the result of an argument over Jinenez bringing people into the apartment and being disruptive.
Jinenez has been arrested and charged with murder and criminal posession of a weapon. Police said Jinenez was previously arrested in 2020 for biting Quevedo’s thumb during a disagreement over their living arrangement.
