Officers from the 46th Precinct responded to a 911 call about an assault at 2295 Grand Concourse in the Fordham Heights neighborhood around 2:51 p.m. on July 22, according to police sources.
When they arrived, they discovered Princesa Incarnacion-Soto, 21, unconscious, suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to BronxCare Health System, where she was pronounced dead.
As part of their initial investigation, police were directed to an apartment in the same building, believed to belong to 54-year-old Nadia Jorge, identified as the mother of the victim’s boyfriend. According to Kenny, while questioning Jorge, detectives uncovered disturbing evidence suggesting the apartment was the scene of severe violence.
Chief Kenny said. “We process a search warrant, we recover bloody clothing, bloody sheeting, bloody blankets, bloody rope and bloody bungee cords.”
Investigators now suspect that Incarnacion-Soto had been restrained and left on the bed for an extended period.
Police say the victim had been staying with Nadia Jorge and her son, 27-year-old Robert Strother.
Update: Robert Strother, 27, was arrested after locals identified him while he was trying to make his way back home. Community members followed him until police arrived and took him into custody. He was formally charged with multiple offenses, including murder, manslaughter, obstructing justice, concealing a human body, and evidence tampering.
