Brooklyn Man, 60, Charged After Deadly Shooting in Flatbush

NYPD said the shooting occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. on June 12 near 261 Lenox Road. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found a 52-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. Authorities have not yet released his identity as they work to notify family members.

During the investigation, police detained Robert Chan, 60, who lives nearby on Lenox Road. He was later charged with two counts of criminal possession of a loaded firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police have not announced any homicide-related charges at this time.
