Brooklyn Woman Fatally Stabbed in Bushwick Apartment; Boyfriend Arrested, NYPD Says

NYPD said officers responded to a report of an ongoing assault at an apartment building near Cooper Street and Irving Avenue in Bushwick at approximately 8:47 a.m on May 17th.

At the scene, officers found a 41-year-old woman on the kitchen floor suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition, where she later died. Authorities have not released her name as they continue efforts to notify her family.

Her 38-year-old boyfriend was arrested at the apartment and taken to the 83rd Precinct for questioning. Officials said charges are expected to be filed later Sunday. Investigators also recovered a knife believed to have been used in the attack.

Police have not yet determined a motive, and the investigation is ongoing.
