FDNY personnel conducting a wellness check discovered 25-year-old Chanler Reams lying face down inside his apartment at 2111 Southern Blvd at around 5:45 p.m. on November 9th.

Police said Reams was unconscious and unresponsive, having suffered a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
