NYPD said, the bodies of four people were discovered around 9:45 a.m. on November 5 inside a fifth-floor unit at the Castle Hill Houses, located at 2225 Lacombe Avenue.
Friends of the victims had stopped by the apartment for a wellness check when they found the deceased scene and immediately called 911.
Inside the apartment, police found a man in his 20s lying dead near the front door and a 44-year-old man deceased on the couch. In the back rooms, they discovered two women, a 26-year-old and a 75-year-old woman, both suffering from trauma believed to be from gunshot wounds. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
According to reports, neighbors described the younger pair as a couple and the older woman as a beloved longtime resident of the complex.
Investigators say there were no signs of forced entry, and while the motive remains unclear, police do not believe anyone else was involved in the incident.
Update: Police say 44-year-old Kaseem Stukes is believed to have fatally shot members of his family inside their fifth-floor apartment in Castle Hill on Nov. 6. Neighbors discovered the bodies of his 75-year-old mother, Theresa Stukes, his 26-year-old daughter, Kianna Stukes, and Kianna’s boyfriend, 33-year-old Andrew Reynoso, who was found near the entrance. Stukes himself was located on the couch with a gunshot wound, and officers recovered a firearm from his body.
