NYPD say 31-year-old Carlos Andres Delgadolopez has been charged in connection with a stabbing at a Hell’s Kitchen apartment on September 9, 2026, that left one person dead and another injured.
According to police sources, Delgadolopez allegedly attacked a woman following a verbal dispute, stabbing her in the back and neck before attacking a 26-year-old man and repeatedly stabbing him in the torso. Both victims were taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where the male victim, identified as John Carlos Mesa, died. The woman was reported to be in stable condition.
Delgadolopez was arrested and subsequently charged with murder and attempted murder.
