Just before 3 a.m on January 25th, NYPD responded to a shooting at the intersection of West 242nd Street and Broadway.
Officers found 44-year-old Keon Gill with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. According to reports, Gill was celebrating his birthday at the time of the murder.
A 35-year-old man was also shot in the knee and taken to the same hospital. He is in stable condition and expected to recover.
26-year-old Naya Brown was taken into custody at her Bronx residence on March 3 by the Regional Fugitive Task Force. She is now facing charges in connection with the January 25 homicide, joining 37-year-old Pernell Warren, who was arrested last month on charges of murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.
