A man was shot and killed outside an apartment building in Brooklyn on the evening of October 10.

Police responded to reports of gunfire around 7 p.m. near 80 East 18th Street in the Prospect Park South area. When officers arrived, they found 42-year-old Andy Desravines suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and abdomen.

Desravines was rushed to Kings County Hospital but could not be saved. He was later pronounced dead.

Detectives from the 70th Precinct are investigating the shooting and are still searching for the suspect. No arrests have been made at this time.
