NYPD said the incident happened around 12:42 a.m. on Aug. 10 outside Karamelo bar on Nagle Avenue in Inwood. Officers from the 34th Precinct responded to reports of an assault after a large crowd outside the bar became involved in a brawl.
Two 23-year-old men were found with stab wounds. Steven Bodnar of Long Island suffered a wound to his abdomen and was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim suffered a torso injury and was transported by police to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police have not released descriptions of the suspected attackers, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing.
