Two men were fatally shot late on the night of June 18 in the Soundview section of the Bronx, according to police. The shooting occurred around 10:10 p.m. outside 1643 Westchester Ave., near the Morrison Avenue 6 train station.
Responding officers found a 53-year-old man and a 43-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Jacobi Hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. Authorities have not released the victims’ identities as family notifications are still pending.
Investigators have not confirmed whether the two men knew each other, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. No arrests have been announced as the investigation continues.
