A woman was found fatally stabbed inside her Astoria home early on July 21 after neighbours reported hearing a disturbance and called 911.
Police responding to the residence discovered 34-year-old Mary Golding with a stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the killing was the result of a domestic dispute involving her husband.
Several hours later, police found Golding’s husband dead in a nearby park. Authorities believe he died by suicide. The investigation remains ongoing.
