The NYC 2022 Homicide Victim List is available here

NYPD were called to the report of a stabbing in the area of West 42nd Street near Ninth Avenue shortly before 11:10 p.m on December 6th.

On arrival police and EMS located a 24-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the torso, outside of the parking garage. The victim was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police have not released the victim’s identity at this time.

According to reports the fight allegedly broke out after one of the men asked the other for a cigarette, and resulted in the death of 24-year-old Carlos Rosario.

On December 21st, police arrested John Wright, 35, of no fixed address and charged him with murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree.

Investigators said the victim was involved in an argument with three other men outside the garage before being fatally stabbed. No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
