Brooklyn police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Wednesday evening in Canarsie. Officers responded to a 911 call around 8:10 p.m. near Seaview Avenue and Rockaway Parkway, where they found 34-year-old Isaiah Freeman with a stab wound to the chest.
Authorities say the attack followed a verbal dispute, though the reason for the argument remains unclear. Freeman was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries. No arrests have been made, and police have not released a description of the suspect.
