NYPD responded to a 911 report of an assault in progress near Exit 21B shortly after 1 a.m on July 25th. At the scene, they found 47-year-old Crisanie Dockery unconscious with severe head injuries. A 39-year-old man was also located with minor injuries to one arm.

Dockery was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

According to sources, the two men were allegedly attacked with a baseball bat following a dispute that erupted after a traffic accident.

Investigators are now searching for a blue vehicle that fled the scene, and the investigation remains ongoing.
