Officers with the 50th Precinct responded after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting on February 11th at approximately 5:00pm.
Police arrived to find three teenagers suffering from gunshot wounds. Sixteen-year-old Christopher Redding had been shot in the back. A 15-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg, and a 13-year-old girl was also struck in the right leg.
All three were transported by EMS to Saint Barnabas Hospital. Redding later died from his injuries.
No arrests have been made, however Police have released an image of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
