Two men were attacked following a verbal dispute in Mount Hope on Aug. 26, according to the NYPD.
Police said the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. near Davidson and West Tremont avenues. A 32-year-old man was found with a stab wound to the chest, while a 33-year-old man suffered multiple puncture wounds to his torso.
Both victims were taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital. The 32-year-old man later died, while the other victim is expected to recover.
The suspect fled the area and has not been arrested. Police describe him as a man wearing a green shirt and light-colored shorts. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of his family.
